Good review. I’m impressed that this thing is rated to tow 5,000lbs. Jeep wrangler (on order) at similar size/weight and with similar V6 is only ~3,600. Strange.

This concept has been discussed in the past as a way for the grid to have scalable storage to draw from during peak hours, i.e. evenings when everyone comes home and fires up all their lights, TV, and dryers. Then after everyone goes to bed, the EV can recharge itself during the night when the grid has excess power.

Came here to say this. The current method is so cheap, and strong, and very easy to replicate for windshield replacement without expensive tools (welders) I’m not sure this will catch on.

No, a windshield is bonded to the pinch weld of your car’s body so tight it literally acts as a strength element in a rollover. (laminated windshields are crazy strong nowadays).

Besides, back in 2017 the typical e-bike had a pathetic small range and still cost an average of $1,941 so I don’t think a $3k bike with this amount of range and functionality is out of the question.
