HAHA good analogy. Came here also wondering how it didn’t steal the show, as an ex-painter I feel completely unworthy, wow

The more I read/learn about EVs, the more I realize that the energy density of hydrocarbons are tough to beat with current battery tech. It’ll come in due time, but it’s been very challenging to make EVs light if you want/need a decent range.
I’m thankful for what they’re doing. Pie-crust slicks in a radial construction, come on son, it’s awesome. God bless Coker. ‘murica
Hellociraptor?
Yes it’s getting better, but it’s a very slow shift. Renewables are a challenge when used as baseload generation because of their inherent variability. It’ll improve with time, but for now our grid is old, at-capacity, and we generate ~2/3 of our electricity by burning fossil fuels.
Someday, yes, but not in a few years. I believe we’re quite a ways out......like 10yrs or better.
For short distances, yes.
And they are CHEAP on the used market.

Yeah it’s slowly changing. (owner of one of the last dodge-branded pickups here)
I’m glad you brought that up. A standard range Tesla model 3 is ~50% more expensive than a comparably optioned Accord ($38k vs $25.6k).
If you believe that switching our nation’s fleet to EVs will not cause a significant increase in carbon output of our generating stations (half of which run on coal), you may want to sit and think about this for a bit.
If he instead used the example of the millions of people that pull big campers on long trips every summer, what would your clever retort have looked like?
Facts do not always matter when the agenda has turned to an almost religion with many folks.
I’ve been saying this for a couple years, someday getting caught driving your own car will be akin to a DUI. Safety stats will back this movement, unfortunately. Red states will hold out as long as they can until the feds mandate the change, ala drinking ages, speed limits, etc.
Jim, this is like saying a car has too much power. Come on Jim.
Our beloved “safe and prudent” speed limit was deep-sixed after we had so many idiots doing 120 and then taking it to court arguing about what is truly safe-and-prudent. State gov’t threw their hands in the air and re-instituted a numerical speed limit on all highways, but kept the speeds high and fines low,…
And unless the filtering is very good, and you change them very often, it’s just going to blow dust particles into the bubble zone...hahaha.....the irony
Yes, you missed that Rafi is literally so blinded by bias, all he wants to hear is “SHE SAID THEY’LL SHOOT THESE POOR IMMIGRANTS!!!!!”
Maybe he’s 1/1024th white
