Wow I had no idea. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

Yikes I hope they go after lead sinkers used for fishing before they attack sailboat keels...haha (and I’m a flyfisherman so it’d affect me but all that lead out there isn’t good for waterfowl). Not sure how lead in a keel would ever hurt the environment though?
You’re off by a factor of two (truckers average 2-3k per week, add in vacation, 100-150,000 miles per year max). Even if it was 250k, if you looked at the millions of carb’d vehicles (cars, pickups, motorcycles, snowmobiles) still operating they account for as much or maybe more total carbon output than the ~3 thousand…
Name checks out. haha
HAHA There are more carb’d engines going in old cars than there are glider trucks....take a look at the carbs and supporting ancillary hardware in any performance catalog (Jegs, Summit, etc). Brand new models of carbs with new development. Drag racers love pulling the efi engine out of notch mustangs and running a big…
LOL You really believe that these same arguments will be not used against the car hobby? That’s precious.....
There are way more engine swaps happening right now with carb’d engines than there are gliders being built. EFI engine swaps are still too expensive and complex for some people.....take a look at a Jegs or Summit catalog, still a huge section of carbs and supporting hardware.
Not disagreeing with your points, but keep in mind these exact same arguments will be used against us to get rid of ICE hobby cars....which will produce MORE than 55x CO2 than electrics. Same argument, but actually worse in comparison to actual emissions than this current case.
That I would have to explain this to car guys, on a car forum, seems a little strange.....
What a smart design, leave it to Subaru!
Buddies and I are going to Vegas to rent exotics just to take them up into the hills for some spirited twisties. Ferrari, Lambo, 911. Although they are much cheaper to rent than this thing at $15k for 4 hrs....that is crazy
Me also. Probably an unfair stereotype, I’m sure. Like thinking anyone from a rural area is a dumb redneck. Humans are so bad at this, all across the board.
This is very true. No need for unions in order to improve workplace conditions, at all.
Agreed. At times it becomes more regressive than progressive, but that’s an argument for another day....
Pretty sure he wasn’t quoted very well in this.
And even worse, they hold down the top performers.
Are you sure wages would increase at Tesla if they unionized?
It’s like this: The main tenants of socialism sound great, right? And then you put it all in practice...
We get force-fed this crap because Jalop writers are progressives, and it’s a rule they have to think that unions belong everywhere because socialism.
Agreed. On the plus side they lose their value faster than trump loses cabinet members, so at least they’re cheap to buy used.
