Diesel* Electric. That first part is key. Also, fixed routes make it very easy to have the needed fuel (Diesel) available along pre-planned stops.

Apparently they can’t even sell them new for a million. I’m not sure that bodes well for value retention 5 years down the line.

Living near Detroit means I see an abundance of Big Three vehicles, even the weird models and slow sellers: a guy near me has two Azteks in his driveway; I regularly see Envoy XUVs on the freeway; not a week goes by that I don’t see either a Lincoln Blackwood or Mark LT.

The SS is the correct choice. It’s got the latest gadgets and safety equipment, and as an added bonus, you can see out of it.

You can easily turn a II into a proper Mustang. The Mach-E will always be an Escape with Mustang styling.

Please Jalopnik - have this guy write more of your car reviews.  I got halfway through it and had to go back up to check the name of the author because the review was so well written.  Please keep up the good work (and maybe review the Veloster N next...)
