I grew up 2 hours east of SLC, only two wheel drive for me, I did just fine. I’m also not timid or a maniac when I drive.

Have a Dodge Grand caravan just like that, can confirm. I’ve loaded it with all kinds of crap, with the ability to close the back hatch. I’ll still amazed at what I can fit in there. It’s a Dodge and still sucks, but it fits 7, plays movies, and hauls a crap load of stuff when needed....
absolutely not fine, hope you get the help you need.
I owned two “silver” cavaliers, gifted to me. Looked like they had been painted with primer. But met my affluent wife in 2005 while driving my 86 2 door cavalier with non-working AC. She def wasn’t into me for my car.
look at my username - sunbird turbo - (or Terdo) my family gifted me with three cars in this order, an 84 cavalier, an 84 Sunbird turbo, then a 86 cavalier coupe, 5 speed.
I don’t disagree or agree. I was merely pointing out that the programming maybhave been lacking. Not sure where programming needs to be for these to be allowed everywhere, but there will be no way that robot or human will be better than the other in certain situations. Glad I’m not making decisions on these.
Lidar “sees” things, it doesn’t make decisions. Ubers computer code does that.
I have a friend that sits in these auto Uber cars in Tempe. He says people mess with him (the car) all the time knowing it will let them in etc. Before i saw the video I thought this might the case. But video shows both women oblivious.
Like another commented in another thread, computers don’t have intuition. It has to be programmed. A human can see something approaching and judge intent and trajectory. A computer can’t. There has to be some leeway in the programming or else EVERY incoming vehicle would cause the autonomous vehicle to smal on its…
One grill mod I think we could all agree on is not to put an angry face on this, but to replace the grill will one that has 7 vertical slat openings to make it look like a real Jeep grill.
For AI to be 100% safe, pedestrians cannot be allowed on our best roads. Or we need seperate AI roads. Neither of which are feasible....
Unless the programming thought she was a cyclist, safe in the other Lane...
Exactly!
Perhaps the Uber car thought a carjacker was approaching and didn’t stop....?
Can this be used on chest hair? (I’m a grizzley)

Great looking wagon, almost as good as the A6 wagon from the early 00's. Would look great in a deep orange color. And a supercharged wagon?!?! Yes please.....oh wait, I have 4 kids that aren’t cheap (slowly returns to his old minivan)
LED light bars and Jack’s are mandatory on a Jeep, how else do you expect owners to navigate dark grocery store parking lots at night?
In car design course in the mid 00's, an industry insider always talked about the Miata and mazda, how designs had the grills upside down (frowning) and mazda president at the time, said flip those grill openings over, we are a happy company.
Ratchet jack.... THIS.
Father in-law gave me his old 1997 Lexus ES300 with 170k miles. Factory serviced. 1st timing belt changed at 100k.
