Agreed...I’m not arguing that they shouldn’t have moved on from Bortles, but they weren’t like the Browns or the Bears who clearly had no one at QB. The Jags should have drafted Mahomes.

The Jaguars, Titans, Chargers, and Bengals also had QBs that they were committed to at the time. (Now, I think the only one of those 4 QBs that’s worth a damn is Rivers, but they plausibly had a reason not to take a first-round QB in 2017).
Let’s wait on inducting Patrick Mahomes into the HOF, shall we? Not only are we dealing with a sample size of less than half a season, but the NFL is in a historic period of favoring the offense and eliminating defense.
They should just get rid of the PAT altogether and force coaches to go for two every time.
The Dodgers have the 3rd highest payroll.
Ouch.
I think it begins with fixing the mindset. Nobody needs a $40k+ vehicle for personal use, yet plenty of people who can’t afford them are fixated on them anyway.
It’s not Canada, but we live in Wisconsin and my wife’s car is 12 years old without major rust issues. (There’s been rust starting in a couple of areas for the last year or two, but nothing too terrible).
The 84 month version still has 15% of the loan remaining to pay off. That could easily be at or near the value of the car, depending on how well it depreciates.
Yup. It would be so incredibly easy for the NCAA to say “we’re not going to actually pay the players [even though doing so would not be nearly as onerous as they would have you believe], but we’re going to stop policing them if they want to make money off of their image the way any other student would be allowed to…
the Colts got exactly one title out of him
I understand that the days of starting pitchers finishing playoff games are over (look at what the 2005 White Sox did in the WS, and realize that it will never happen again), and I understand that leaning on the bullpen is a thing. However, I thought both Sale and Kershaw got pulled especially early (Kershaw moreso),…
For all of his creative shortcomings, Sandler also seems to be pretty much unhateable as a person. (Unless there’s something I’ve missed).
No, the first thought that goes through my mind is, “I bet those fuckers can travel.”
A-Rod replaces being grouchy about younger players with the inability to make a point without working in an irrelevant story about how the Yankees did it. Couple that with all of his mispronunciations and he’s unlistenable.
I know football people, including the players themselves, can be meatheads, but if his teammates have any intelligence I don’t see them caring if he shed tears on the field following a painful injury. For one thing, isn’t crying a pretty much involuntary pain response? I find it hard to believe that a group of guys…
Hmm...I got bad service multiple times at my local dealer (Smart Toyota of Madison, WI) despite having bought my most recent car from them. (The worst service experience was with my wife’s car, bought in another state 11 years ago). If they treat other customers worse, I can’t imagine how they get anyone to come back.
I used to love those, but at some point in the last couple of years they changed something in the bread, and now in my oven if I cook them just barely to the point that the cheese and toppings are edible, the bottoms are black. :(
Except that Little Caesars is inferior to a lot of frozen pizzas.
Wow...that is the type of thing that I would start an argument with the manager over. The only possible justification for adding a charge for a less expensive ingredient is if it requires extra labor; slicing a tomato is actually less work than cooking a breakfast meat, so that’s just unconscionable.
