And oddly angry billboards about things that should be non-controversial. We drove through an area with multiple DOWN WITH WIND TURBINES! signs.

I don’t know anyone under 50 that has a legitimate interest in those places

Durant has earned close to $200M already in NBA salary, plus who knows how much in endorsements. He is in the top 0.01% in net worth if he never plays another minute again in the NBA, which is highly unlikely. Financially, he is going to be just fine.

Will it? A blanket rule that they must always stay in the rightmost lane is impractical and unlikely, and if you take the human element out of it, why would a company care that their automated truck is holding up other traffic (at least, more than a human driver would?)

I see people all the time around here who are scared to use a center turn lane that is open to both directions, so they stop in the through lane to wait for their turn. I knew my wife was a keeper the day someone in front of us did this and she reached over to honk the horn then flipped them the bird.

Yeah, I was going to say that one big addition I would make to the original article is to maintain a consistent speed on the interstate (allowing for changes in speed limit and conditions, obviously). If I have my cruise control set, either you should pass me once or I should pass you once. If I see you multiple times

I was born and raised in IL and moved to WI, and I maintain that WI has the worst drivers anywhere. It is still the only state where, after I flashed my lights repeatedly at the driver going 65 mph in the left lane directly next to another car for miles and she finally moved over, I was met with not anger or defiance b

I think you’re missing put-some-turbo-on-meeeee’s point...you’d have to compare a 2004 Accord to a 2019 Civic to get a more reasonable size comparison, because the Civic has grown so much that it’s basically a different model than it was then. (I’m sure the ‘19 Civic would still perform better due to technological

Most states have a law that says slower traffic keep right, or keep right except to pass, or similar verbiage. If so, hogging the left lane and blocking faster traffic is equally illegal.

There you go, injecting logic into the discussion. Look, I am all for criticizing MLB for artificially suppressing young player salaries (not to mention paying minor leaguers less than minimum wage), for owners taking a bigger and bigger percentage of revenue and still wanting to pay the players less, etc. But stuff

if you can’t reliably keep it from hitting him in the head

A day of vomiting/diarrhea is definitely much better than hospitalization/death, but I will still do my best to avoid it. My point is that if I judge the risk of food poisoning to be elevated at all, even if I’m confident it won’t kill me, the food had better be special to take that risk.

I empathize with this one. My in-laws love to have huge parties with way too much food, which sits out for hours and hours and violates all kinds of food-service standards. And because they made so much of it, they practically force you to take leftovers at the end.

You’re ignoring the risk/reward component here. If the discussion is about some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life, what you said makes sense. If it’s about the caliber of food that would be served at a neighbor’s cookout (especially the stuff that’s been sitting out on a table long enough to be concerned

I live and work in a medium-sized city and many of my coworkers live in outlying small towns. They all tell me that the property taxes in the city are too high. My wife and I are looking for a house soon, and to see an actual substantial difference in taxes you have to move so far out that the additional commuting

Yeah, unless you work from home, if you have a job your commute is going to be the most frequent trip you take, and it’s the one you can’t just skip if you’re not up to it. I’d rather live closer to work and further from fun activities, because those fun activities are going to be skipped anyway when we’re in the

I much prefer it to Brayden. Frankly his mother deserves all the grief in the world for that more than the pressure to produce grandkids.

Letter 1 can be neatly summarized as “I may have solved my financial problems. How can I quickly create new ones?”

I would argue that there’s a pretty big difference between dispensing what you see as justice (even if it’s harsh) and murdering an innocent person, especially when that person is your daughter and the method is so horrible.

And use your turn signal.
