This. I’ve been preaching about the grid’s woeful inability to handle a significant number of EVs charging up every evening. We’re already seeing rolling blackouts in some areas, now thing of doubling the loads in some neighborhoods. Smartgrid tech will help, but not enough I fear.

The base Yugo with the 903cc engine had a top speed of 84mph.....and was terribly unreliable to boot. So I’m thinking it would be a good race, you should try it.

Love what they’re doing here, but no conversation of EV cost savings is complete without consideration of highway tax avoidance. At some point EVs (at least the ones using our public roads) need to pay the piper, if you will.
