I would have to agree... Having owned several BMW’s. The newer bikes are simply just not the mile-eaters (air-head) that they used to be. I have shelled out (Africa’s $13K) in maintenance on the last two I owned - 1996 R1100RS, bad factory M94 trans, rear drive, wiring harness, master cylinder. 2005 R1150GS, failed…

And that is why the BMW 1200 GS needs to come off of THIS list.
