I rented one of these with some of my friends to drive from Southern California to Lincoln Nebraska and it was the perfect car for a long road trip. If fit four people, clothes for a week, and camping gear very comfortably. It also cruise effortlessly at the speed limit through the Rocky Mountains which many cars can

Foruma SAE definitly counts as a hot rod! I have been the member of a team for two years now and I am going into my third year as the deisgn lead for the team. Building two cars from scratch has been an incredible experiance for me.

It looks like we should have these canopies in racing. It will keep the look and feel of the racing intact while protecting the drivers.

I was hoping all day that when I checked Jalopnik I wouldn’t see this news. Whenever a death happens its awful. I’m glad racing is safer than it used to be but apparently there are more gains to be made.

I drove one in high school and its actually not as bad as people think. The interior quality isn’t great and it had some interesting issues but it was actually sort of fun to drive. I think the main reason people hate them is because the styling became dated quickly and they stayed in production for far to long.

I don’t recall either Chris Harris or top gear publishing laptimes of either car around that track. Motortred did a comparison with a pro driver and the 918 was faster around Laguna Seca.

Wow, what an amazing car! I always love to see when owners actually drive cars like this one. I’m incredibly jealous that you got to be in a Tucker on the road. I’ve only seen one once in person and it was incredible.

Given how Busch has been driving lately I doubt he’ll have any problems driving through the field. Unless he tried to mow the lawn again. :)

FWD does not necessarily make a car slower at the apex. I think if this car was at full power and properly developed it would be very competitive. It’s good to see a team come in to try to break up the Volkswagen groups dominance.

I have to get this one as a shirt. It’s so cool! I’m tempted to get the poster too.

I know your busy a troll but for some reason I feel the need to respond to this. I guess it’s because I hate people who feel the need to have the government tell themselves and others what they can and cannot do. I would not drive this trail because I do not have the experience or skill to do so safely. For this kind

Should people not be allowed to do anything that's dangerous? I guess should all stop driving at all then. It would probably be much safer if we never left our houses.

Diesel engines create soot because of a rich burning condition not because of basic chemistry. The rich burn condition in inherent to the way modern diesel engines operate. There are many people working to solve this problem. Yes what these trucks do is different from rolling coal in that the trucks are running rich

As a young Californian this issue annoys me. Why can I buy a rifle at 18 but not a handgun? I’m guessing the only reason this hasn’t been fought in court is that no one who is between the ages of 18 and 21 has the money to take it to court.

I completely agree with you. Another thing that people should think about is that this is a job that many people would be qualified to do right after high school. If those people cant do this job after they graduate they will probably have found something else to do before they are 21.

The grey car for $3000 sounds like a great deal. It will probably last a very long time in that condition and you can slowly make it better over time. It’s even a manual. If I didn’t already own an 84 coupe I might buy one of these.

My friends rented a Chevy Impala for a cross country drive a while ago. We found on the trip that at 70mph the car got about 28 mpg and at 90 mph the car got 25mpg. That is not a significant difference in gas mileage and over the coarse of hundreds of miles it makes a big difference in travel time. The Impala was also

I got the f35 as well on both quizzes. The foxtrot alpha response was hilarious especially as an engineering student.

Every time we talk about making sure we read the rules on my team this example is brought up. Such an awful way to ruin a years worth of work. I bet that engine would have sounded awesome though its not a particularly practical use of development time when you could make gains in so many other places.

It is typically done to show the actual record pace not the average. It will slow down and speed up as the swimmer who swam it did.
