The highlight of nursery school in my mid-Michigan childhood was the trip to Bronner's.

@A Ferret: Oracle doesn't sell to soccer moms, so that's not really a problem.

@BettaBee: Newsletter, subscribe, etc.

@superhappyfuntime: I've heard that, but it doesn't make that area any more appealing, thanks to the lavs and the scrum at deboarding.

@jeffco67: My sister-in-law's father died in the Sioux City crash, and a big reason why everyone on that place didn't die with him was that a DC-10 instructor pilot happened to be on board that day and was able to help the crew.

@justinglen: In my experience, the voice quality of 5.8GHz cordless phones appears to suck when compared to 2.4GHz units. YMMV.

@JoStockton: This is something that many of the people in favor of education "vouchers" forget: once you take significant money from the government, the government gets a significant say in how things are run.

@the_it_girl1984: I'm curious about where you grew up; in my experience, you can't find a community with a stoplight than doesn't have some sort of denominational education competing with public schools.

@La Mareada: If I were driving for LiLo, I would want to be paid in cash, up front. The girl be broke, after all.

@the_it_girl1984: In the United States, religious schools are by their very nature private.

@Valkyrie607votesMizJenkins: I agree that sexual orientation should be just as protected as race and religion are, but good luck getting that through Congress in the next few years.

@lezebel-in-chief: In this case, not much sticker, thanks to that pesky little detail about her actions demonstrating contempt for the Church's teaching on marriage.

@the_it_girl1984: I guess you didn't read the post; this is Cathedral High School in the Diocese of Springfield in Massachusetts.

@octasquid: Actually, Apple's pretty good about making sure that their products maintain a fairly extensive lifespan. If the hardware can support it, so will Apple.

@Grahmo: "Go God Go XII" is episode 152, or Season 10, episode 13, depending on how you keep track.

@Grahmo: The South Park episode where Cartman goes time-traveling is one of my favorites, thanks to the sentient otters riding ostriches. (I keep calling them "cavalry" but perhaps "autruchery" would be more fitting?)

@GaddafisTentPitcher: Although there's a lot to be said for tailoring a resume to the job you're applying for, the cover letter is a chance to be hyper-specific.
