It has been a long time since I read the book but I do remember not liking it much as it felt like a rehashed 1984. While it was good to see things from a woman's point of view I felt that Atwood never brought anything that was really original to the table.

🎶 I have friends! I *definitely* have friends!!🎶

I feel really bad for getting What Do You Mean stuck in my head from time to time.

It's also sad that they chucked out their one good songwriter because the lyrics on Pretty Odd really stood out. I wonder what it would have been like if they'd pursued that aesthetic because it would have been nice to have a band like that in the music scene.

Absolutely. That album has some great summer songs like That Green Gentleman and When The Day Met The Night. It is so wonderfully uplifting as a whole.

I think her poetry is much better than any of her prose.

Death and All Of His Friends is a such great song.

Same here. I found it very hammy at times and could not for the life of me figure out why Hannah's mom didn't go through with criminal charges of negligence against the school and instead chose to go for a civil suit. It didn't seem like she was doing it for the money since she didn't want to "put a price on her…

I'm mildly looking forward to the Wonder Woman movie. Though I will certainly not watch it without hearing other people's opinion first.

Sad to see Kent suffering the fallout from last season. He is one of my favorite characters. I hope that he can distance himself from Jonah before that whole deal goes south (or north?). Maybe he is finding solace in his biker gang?
Would love to find out about what Tom James is up to.
Also, it makes me irrationally…

I like Belief. And Home Life is a really fun lazy day song. The lyrics are so hilariously bad that they cheer me up.
"Sitting in the slow-mo
And listening to the daylight"
God knows how one listens to the daylight.

Probably because Tatiana is not a character on the show?
Jokes aside, I did think about it and while Sarah is a compelling character she faces a lot of competition from her sisters (and Felix). Over the course of the series even supporting characters like Mrs S and Beth have also really become more dimensional.

The first season is great for binge watching in almost one go. The second season onward the show needs to be taken in at a slower pace. The fourth truly becomes a slog sometimes but it has its moments.

Erlich's Mustache!

More Jughead & Reggie!

My first thought was Gold Chains for Old Men from Gravity Falls. I love the comedic timing of it's first mention when Dipper was trying to hide his mystery journal from Stan. Just thinking of it makes me smile.

The actress playing Val is amazing. Her eyes are so expressive!

A Tale of Two Kitties!
*Crickets*

True. Sounds better when you put it that way.

But Archie was working for his dad only during the summer break just before the episode started.
Also, Jughead has this exchange with his dad where he says something like "I'll find a place. I always do." which hints that this has been a long going set up.
Maybe the Archie Jughead fallout has something to do with this…
