Typically sports require interaction with another person or team of people and therefore talking is involved. 

IMO, there’s no reason to talk to anyone at the gym unless it’s “Hey can I work in?” or “You forgot your towel” or they are of a gender you aren’t interested in sexually so talking about the weather has no meaning other than that.

Not as bizarre as people getting ice cream at McDonalds.

The first one a saw out and about recently was white and lifted with 20" chrome rims and everything from a winch to a fire ax mounted to it.. I’m assuming the guy I saw near it vaping and dressed as some cross between Vanilla Ice and and hipster euro-trash was the owner.

Until you need a car or refrigerator and you think about if you had to make the steel for it yourself, how much that would suck and how much what steel worker does is pretty important to you daily life versus football. But yes, throwing a ball around is so much more special and worth the money.

The Steel industry makes more, but when those workers strike for more pay and better benefits, no one wants to hear about it or much less care. Are you not a fan of Steel workers, they don’t entertain you enough?

Only in Soccer have players been beaten and or killed by fans who are upset with what they did or didn’t do properly while playing the game, so yeah, there’s a more fucked up sport out there that’s even more popular than American football
