The S7, in my opinion, is the most beautiful super car.

They are in fact P-38s. That is a picture of probably about 60% of the flyable Lightnings in the world (can't remember the number exactly). The one closest to the photo aircraft was pulled out of a glacier in Greenland a few years ago, hence the name Glacier Girl. Amazing story!
Nice car! It looks like what Porsche would have done if they made a GT3 back then.
What in the heck is a Beutler Porsche? Need to know more!
Dat grey and red!
Terrible team or not, I always thought that was a cool looking car. Looks slightly similar to the most beautiful F1 car ever, the Jordan 191.
This is completely beside the point of the article, and a complete newb question, but does anyone know the purpose of dual calipers, usually on the rear axle? I have seen some cars that have one normal sized caliper, with a much smaller one opposite of it on the rotor. I assume it's not for more braking power as the…
I always thought those things had drums?
I'm starting to wonder why they don't adhere to the laws of Colin Chapman. Add lightness. Screw safety. Who needs big brakes when your car weighs the same as a go kart?
Actually there was the Lincoln C concept from a few years back that had internal calipers. Not production, but I think it could work. I guess the reasoning behind it not making production would be the difficulty of removing the wheels. I know there is a better picture somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look right now.
Anybody got an idea of how these things work?
Huh? I didn't say it was modeled after the Jag, I just said that it looks like it.
Looks like a crappy XJ220 kit haha
That's a better way to describe it. I am much more consistent launching the car at a stop sign (not that I would ever do that) than at the track. The stage fright definitely of the dragstrip has an effect on you.
I'm no seasoned pro, but having raced both road courses and tried my hand at drag racing, I can say that in my opinion, drag racing is much more difficult. I've raced 800 hp Shelby's at the road course, but driving the 250 hp Mustang Cobra I learned how to drag race in, was the most intimidating thing I have ever…
I think they would be lucky to get 12 mpg while towing 5000lbs+.
