Nope.  Wagons only served the consumer side.  Trucks service consumers and businesses.  Trucks will always have a market.  Even when they fall out of vogue with the general populace workers will still need them to haul stuff.

Why hate on trucks? I prefer cars too but modern trucks really are the do it all vehicle. They make a lot more sense than an SUV to me.

Some things are fads, and some things are timeless. Trucks are timeless (in the US).

Right, I was checking battery fluid levels for my first car and I bought it in 1998!  Granted, maybe I didn’t have to, but it was still very much “a thing” to check if you were having battery issues.

1971 ? I distinctly remember having to unscrew cell lids and check water levels on my cars in the 80's. And they were cars built in the 80's.

I don’t know why car companies haven’t figured this out yet. Lightly used cars are essentially the same but cheaper.
