I tried to read the first book over 30 years ago when it came out in paperback, and even to my then-postadolescent brain it just felt like the most generic, cliched Fantasy Saga™ imaginable, like someone had taken their awesome D&D campaign from middle school and adapted it into a novel.

The other tactic that several prominent subreddits are using is to make the subreddit/all posts NSFW. This prevents ads from showing up. Some are genuinely NSFW, others are just tagging everything as such.

Honestly a lot of the outrage is the fact that content was removed. It’s not like the people were necessarily clamoring for 99% of these vehicles. It’s just the idea that they have been taken away under the guise of streamlining the shopping experience.
