Back in the day in Illinois, they had a law about how high you could have the rear bumper. My brother would get pulled over all the time in his 72 Satellite Sebring Plus, so he routed the filler valve for the air shocks in the back all the way up to the console by the driver seat.

Speaking from experience - be careful using WD-40 on painted surfaces. It can absolutely damage the paint. A little too liberal trying to get some fasteners unstuck left me with droplets in the paint on the fenders from overspray.
