UPDATE 4:30 PM: I just spoke on the phone with Tyler Chevrolet, who denies that the Tupperware was theirs, maintaining it was already in the car. The tech in question that day reportedly goes to Burger King for lunch every day, and has never brought his lunch to work.

I’m not sure how to take this. “Proceeding with life” would mean that, to a rational employer/manager, taking action to ensure that this doesn’t happen under their watch again, whether that be with a current or future employee.

Example: I took my beater to a quick oil change joint down the street this summer

Not a great comparison. This car would run rings around a 911; apples/oranges.

I saw this car at the Rahal charity car show before last year’s Mid-Ohio GP.  It’s awesome in person.  FYI to any potential buyers, my drool may still be present in the engine bay.  Not sure how well the seller detailed back there...

I’m sure the people who died from this collapse and their families would be glad that it was engineered with such vigor instead of you know, rigor and discipline and a thoroughness that doesn’t fucking get people killed.

I have a feeling this will be one of those cases future engineers learn about in class.
