Distracted by nails that need to be cut. Maybe he's testing the screen to see how scratch-proof it is.

The '03 manual transmissions were problematic, too. I got my '03 CE with a busted tranny for $500 (with new Winter tires on it!). Replaced the transmission and it's been treating me pretty well for the past 3 years as my daily-driving, grocery-getting family car. Since then I've only had to replace both rear hubs for

Some ISPs throttle Netflix traffic and their customers have trouble getting the quality they should be able to get with their connection speed. When those same users use a VPN, the traffic is encrypted. With the traffic encrypted, ISP has no idea what it is and doesn't throttle it. So the user is able to get a much

Yeah, the little mermaid must've called to have that car towed at the owner's expense and risk.

Classic coming-of-age tale. One of my favorite movies of all time. One of the few movies I could justify double-dipping. If they release a 4K version, I'll likely buy that, too.

I've never tried it just because of the cost. "That little jar for that much money? To make a chocolate sandwich? No, thanks"

I've heard similar stories from my dad who grew up in the 50s and 60s in Port Morien, NS. I guess they used to wish they could have peanut butter sandwiches instead of lobster.

I had a dentist like that growing up. Not quite to that extreme, but she would always find cavities and call me a liar when I told her I floss daily (which I did and do). I stopped going to the dentist for ~5 years and when I finally needed to go again to get checked out (I was sucker-punched by a drunk guy for

I'd take some quality in-wall speakers over a paper helicopter every day of the week.

They can't be "deleted". The closest thing to it would be to have them permanently sitting in a wallet which no one has the ability to access.

That's why I'd never consider any other colour.

Glorious are the one-wipe wonders. You wipe once and it's clean. You're done! I'm always pretty happy when that happens. I can't be the only one.

I have many shot glasses and zero garbage cans that look like this.

In the right side of the picture, you'll see a path leading to the pool, and some stairs in the pool leading up to it.

This was the first thing that came to my mind. Throw-away accounts are always an option.

If it's your own house, have the loose socket(s) replaced (or replace it yourself if you've got the know-how). If it's a place you rent, tell your landlord that your electrical sockets are loose and have them replace them. You shouldn't have to bend the prongs to get a tight fit (though admittedly, I DO use that trick

I didn't understand that, either. I came to the comments to see if anyone had already commented on it.

Hell, the trucks don't even need to be running or road-worthy to test whether or not the target can be hit. Haul clunkers down the road with a metal cable.

An unlikely conversation:
Q: "Can it hit a moving target?"
A:

About 12 years ago I used to use my Motorola StarTAC as a modem connected to my Palm Pilot. At the time, it was neat to be able to chat with friends on ICQ while I was nowhere near an actual computer. I still have that phone, the PDA, and the cable to connect them.

Though at the time, that wasn't an ass-backwards,

I've been having no trouble at all streaming from my NAS to my ChromeCast*. It just got better yesterday when I switched out my D-Link DNS-325 using Serviio for a Drobo 5N using Mediatomb. All my (video) media is h.264/AAC in an MP4 and goes from the NAS through an ASUS RT-N66U.

*Success was using AllCast and Avia

Maybe I'm weird, but most of those ingredients don't appeal to me on a burger. The only ingredients listed that I can get on board with are the bacon and grass-fed beef. If I was feeling crazy, maybe that potato chip bun.

Boxee Box is my go-to for local media, but its web browser sucks. Chromecast for the stuff it supports. Laptop to TV via HDMI if both previously-mentioned choices aren't up to the task. BD player and game consoles for other things when it's convenient.
