Not this BS again. The ship doesn’t pencil as anything. It is too big to convert into a hotel or modernize. Too much to rehab.

Far more than that. This is a half billion dollar project.

Any well run and balanced city doesn’t need “passing trade.” In fact we have cities that create problems for their neighbors (and commuters) by focusing solely on office and commercial tax base and shifting the “costs” of residents to their neighbors.

With electric cars hitting it in 3 seconds and 6 seconds is likely the same hardware.

I don’t think that properly addresses corporate leases or car allowances. Both of which are incredibly common. For example we give our construction guys $400 for car payment but they get no mileage. This encourages them to have a car payment.

If stellantis builds it? Yeah. But Toyota?

I think the assumption of a Prius being plugged in 50% of the time is way low. Every phev driver I know is probably closer to 90-95% battery only.

that you have to turn off your car at the gas pump.

backing into a space is also about maneuverability. You have more maneuverability to get straight into the space by backing in.

Actually, the more cluttered and clogged the area is, the slower people drive, which leads to greater survivability and fewer accidents. Your thinking in 1950's road design. If I can see more, have more room to move, then I can be safer and more confident when driving. Which is NOT what you want. You want drivers to

That is an issue with street design.

This is the best answer to the “big truck crisis”. Vehicles that are either bought for a business, taxed as such, used as such, or over certain weight should require CDLs & relevant insurance. I’d even say that should apply to vans, and the top end of SUVs.

We’d see the demand for these vehicles drop significantly.

I think it came from online more than anything. Maybe enabled by their parents, but definitely caused by online.

Japanese have always been notoriously bad at designing any interior cabin for comfort. I had hoped that Toyota would have picked up some dimensions from their collaboration with bmw. But that is yet to be seen.

Do it all the time, a tarp and straps. I mean we truck it on semi flatbeds to job sites too. So there is no magic about using a 5’ bed.

I’ve installed quite a few electric car stations. Usually, there is a deal worked out where you get cheaper install in exchange for them being available to the public. So you can’t require paying for parking or a pass. The idea being the charger company is getting more use out of them, say from someone visiting or

no one is going to buy this damn thing.

This is such a bs statement. If you can’t get work done with a 5’ bed, you don’t know how to haul. Had one for 5 years now and I’ve handled more cargo than you could imagine. The extra length just gets absorbed by a tool box.

Never going to happen. Car seats.

Missing the point Brad. Just because YOU don’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. The ones you decry are the minority, not the majority of truck or suv owners.
