Curses, you had to beat me to it and then do a better job by posting a video as well.

I approve of this comment.

I’ve heard of freezing certain grains, because it can take care of some things like that. But I’ve always been skeptical (had to do the ServeSafe cert program before) that it does more than extend the grain’s lifetime a bit.

Unfortunately there’s no direct flights to Santiago from Minneapolis, so I think the business class tickets are pricey because Delta only has one flight per day to Santiago, so they’ve got a captive audience.

Amen to not flying cattle-class. And Costco’s unsalted mixed nuts are, frankly, the most versatile snack ever devised by humankind.

I just flew from Minneapolis to Santiago Chile (connection in Atlanta). An economy ticket was $1600 and an business class ticket was $6800....hard to justify that upgrade.

You know, I love flying business, but a lot of times its hard to justify spending an extra $4000 on a ticket

That damn popcorn.

I pop over to my local (but slightly inconvenient) TJ’s every couple of months to stock up on olive oil, spices, frozen tamales, and usually grab some snacky things too (hello, Baconesque popcorn, and ginger chunk cookies). I would like to try 2 buck chuck, but alas: Kansas sez grocery stores can have weak beer and

Crunchy peanut butter and grape jelly on italian or vienna bread. Can’t beat it.

I’m late on this, and I don’t have any photos of the gumbo itself. But these are the dumpling/handpies I made out of it. They need work, but I’m generally happy with the result.

maybe sous vide some bacon vodka to add to the caesar? (or some other flavor. horseradish?)

Have you not heard of a date shake? They have been the standard in cabazon (and other terrible places in the imperial valley/other dry parts of California). Literally dates, milk, and ice cream (and a banana if you want). I would imagine it works for a smoothie, even more if you froze the banana.

That reminds me, HR called and you need to take a drug test Monday.

Lol no I have to younger siblings, and they are identical twins. I’m just a boring single birth.

I would just blend all that together except the limes. The thought of a sour citrus fruit added in makes my mouth pucker up.

Bread - try this - http://www.instructables.com/id/4-Hour-No-Knead-bread/?ALLSTEPS. You’re only risking a pinch of yeast and some AP flour. I make this all the time, now, and people think it’s hot stuff. You can monkey around with different flours and adding sesame oil or olive oil, or onions, or garlic, or dil,l

::keyboard fills with drool::

That is one of my favorite xkcd comics.
