I own a 2013 BRZ Limited and think it DOES need more power. If it lived on a racetrack, I think it would be less of a big deal since you're enjoying the driving experience, but as a daily driver, the lack of torque makes it hard to drive. You really have to flog the thing to get it to go anywhere.
I own the BRZ, and enjoy the car. That being said though—I'd personally like more power. Even 50 ft/lb of torque alone would be very welcome. The fiesta ST and BRZ are identical in 0-60 and quarter mile, but the fiesta ST just feels a lot faster due to the torque difference. (my coworker/friend has a fiesta st)
