For more year than I care to count, I have soaked fresh veggies in cold water with a nice, hefty slug of vinegar or lemon juice, plus some salt.  I found it took care of any wildlife and loosened dirt.  If the skin feels waxy (tomatoes or cucumber), I use a drop of Dawn and rinse well.

I agree on your reasoning: use a drop of Dawn for bell peppers, apples, and tomatoes (anything where I eat the skin), and I have one soapy hand, and use it to wash multiple pieces of vegetables. Rinse thoroughly. Just cold water for lettuce. Potatoes and mushrooms don’t get soap, but they definitely get a brush or

A weak soap solution, like the merest drop of Dawn and plenty of cold water is good for hard-skinned fruits and vegetables. At that concentration, your just making the water is a bit wetter so you can more effectively with a scrub brush or paper towel.

I’m usually in Camp I Don’t Care, but I’m isolating with someone who is immunocompromised so being extra careful.

I’ve been soaking and washing (just rubbing with my hands) in a big bowl of water with like 3 drops of dish soap, and then rinsing in a second bowl of water.

If cold water is all it takes, I’m more than

I know it’s not your fault, but I love the juxtaposition of “only listen to legitimate medical advice!” followed by an ad at the bottom of this article proclaiming “only eat THIS to empty your bowels every morning!” Either accompanied by a picture of a pot of boiling bananas (??) or a sliced beet or a tray of sprouted

Plastic (and some metals) can remain a fomite for two days or more. I would say for people at risk, it’s worth taking a little more care.

This is one of the most irresponsible opinion articles I’ve read so far (outside of articles and so-called news “reporting”from conservative sources that don’t consider science). This author is a self-proclaimed “science” writer, but what is her actual background? I very much appreciate the video produced by a medical

Counterpoint: Stand on right, walk on left.  or you’re an asshole.

How does posting a private pic of children equal to being a pedophile? Da’fuq.

This is the shittiest fucking take possible.

As someone who suffers from BPD so has some insight I suggest you do some research before you start flapping your gums about something you know nothing about

let’s keep in mind that applying logic to to the actions of those who suffer from serious mental illness issues is fucking stupid.

I’m sure reading how much of a douche he is online must’ve helped him so much.

The internet is a poison. I hope this dude overcomes his struggles.

I’m no automotive executive, but I can assure you that closing plants is not the first or only measure taken to course correct based on market changes, either current or future. Businesses across all industries are constantly tweaking multiple things based on consumer preference and predicted demand. Drastically

So, aside from Maryland & Canada, these were all in states that Trump won in 2016.

Agreed. GM certainly is trying to focus in too many of the wrong areas. They’re very late to the party, and are desperately trying to catch up.

I don’t think this should be spun as a bad thing. They’re trying to prepare for a market correction/recession. The past few years have been too good for there not to be one.

Walking is an exercise, just a very low energy exercise. I walk for 2 hours straight on weekend. That ends up to 10 mile walk. My legs are somewhat sore afterwards. Absolutely an exercise.
