The G is a through and through truck, no questions there... But the Cayenne? Definitely not an old road vehicle, Porsche designed it to kick ass on road, sure it has a little off road capability but where it truly shines on the tarmac, more of a car than a truck.

Used to have a v6 6mt Accord with a few bolts ons, stock wheels and muffler for stealth though... Surprised quite a few 350zs and Mustang in its day, everyone who rode in it had something to say about how they never expected it to be that quick.

I hate how these features are advertised (Kia I’m looking at you), like it’s ok to not pay attention to the road, because your car will (probably) save your ass. I’ve never rear ended anyone because I keep a safe following distance, stay off my phone, and am constantly scanning ahead for any signs of danger. Maybe

Old bimmers aren’t nearly as unreliable though, Mercedes on the other hand are a much different animal, disintegrating wiring harnesses being the least of your problems.

But goddamn did all that craziness pay off... Looks like it just rolled outta the showroom. Probably the cleanest interior of anything I’ve seen on NPOCP, you wouldn’t pop the hood at a car show with this thing you’d pop the doors, lol.

Most cars are slightly detuned from the factory to increase reliability, emissions compliance, and gas mileage... Not so the manufacturer can charge you extra for features the car is already capable of.

I agree... While truckbro is definitely a dick, I would never leave my car at some random location for a week. If I have a breakdown she’s getting towed back to my house within an hour and parts are being ordered not long after that. Something is definitely up with this story.

I think he’s let his own head get the best of him... I feel like he’s the Kayne West of the tech industry. Even though I’m an ICE fan I really have no issue with the proliferation of electric vehicles, but Musk and his nickel and diming, overvalueing of Tesla and spaceX to dupe investors, and bold claims regarding

Didn’t they release the full range and reduced range at the same time though? I could kind of understand them charging more for the extended range if they developed the software after the fact but it doesn’t seem like they did. And even then every piece of technology I own allows you to upgrade for free, even the

“Seeing all of those together reminds me how incredibly ugly porsches are.”

Only weasel here is you... Is your life so meaningless and devoid of purpose that the only satisfaction you get is acting like a big man on the internet?

You’re correct, it does happen sometimes... But you’re not going to see a 4 grand difference between two chipsets with identical hardware. Honestly I just don’t see the reason why everything tesla does is defended by their fans. I’m a BMW guy, and would be the first one to bitch about their penny pinching cost saving

Actually had to look that up, bmw does some weird things sometimes... Although I did notice that the cam profiles and radiator size were different, as well as the detuned 800 not requiring premium fuel, with riders saying the detuned version was a more civilized ride than the higher spec. Whilst the tesla battery pack

They recoup the cost by selling the car... That’s be like if Mercedes sold a car that cut the fuel pump off even though you have a quarter tank left and made you pay 4 grand to unlock the ”extended mileage” feature.

Not the same... The factory tune isn’t restrictive so they can sell you a “better” version, it’s that way for maximum fuel efficiency, emissions, and reliability.

Teslas battery packs are identical... The 650 and 800 are different motors, not really the same.

It’s entirely different... A 4 cylinder isn’t a v6 with different software, it’s a completely different engine that requires a completely different R&D and product development phase.

Well yes exactly... If I have a plumber come out to fix my pipes and he only takes 15 minutes to complete the job do you think it would be fair for him to charge me for a entire days worth of work?

Deluxe suit software and video game dlcs require additional development though... Tesla went and created additional software to limit hardware performance, it would be like if an i3 and i7 where identical hardware wise and Intel just set higher software specs on the i7 so they could charge more.

An i3 has two physical cores while the i5 and i7 have 4... Lol, there is obviously a hardware difference between them. Looks like tesla fans are going so far as to make things up to defend them.
