They export it because they simply don’t need it. They use hydroelectricity as they have massive amounts of it. This is why the country is pretty rich.

I love everything about this picture, that's a badass car.

Not if you can remotely operate the vehicles (teslas). In fact if you can control them as if they were a train this would be a pretty efficient way to travel. But the tunnel would have to be tesla cars only to start out.

Also I got a single car garage just outside of Amsterdam for $100 a month. Without the garage the car is doomed, all repairs will be rushed. We also have a place here that will basically rent you a car workshop with lift for a few bucks an hour, that's the best idea ever.

You don’t want anybody working on your old car unless you’re 100% sure they will get it right. I had a gearbox oil change done because I couldn’t source the oil filter myself, and they overfilled it and it blew a seal on the way home. Now I have to deal with that, and they didn’t change the oil filter either.

I think the Dutch reach has only been taught here for two years or something. Living in Amsterdam it’s pretty natural to look before opening a door. My daughter is 4 and she does it.

I did not know that, you learn something every day.

It will scare the Uber driver and damage his car.

This.

Should probably ask the Alfa dealer what loaners they have available before buying, as you'll be driving those most of the time.

How can it be that cheap though? I was looking at an 8 year old one here in Europe and it was over $27k and that was the slow version. It's not fair.

They're making the last real corner before the straight wider and banked a bit so you can take the last kink with Drs and can overtake on the straight. Turn one is also where you often see cars two wide, they are making that one wider as well. The pit lane is very short so tactics will be interesting as well. I think

Agreed. I’m a huge F1 fan since I was a kid, but I refuse to watch Bahrain. To say racing and politics have nothing to do with each other is a weak excuse. I also won’t be watching Dakar in Saudi Arabia.

I just got back from Aix where they had a specific parking deck for 4x4s and vans.

Well this article is not about petrol cars now is it? I have a few of those too, so that's not really the problem.

We need this in Europe too. The most annoying part of driving an EV is when you drive to a place using your last bit of battery and it turns out to be unavailable. The app in my country even show private chargers that are not even available to the public, it's useless.

I have a customer who is a multi millionaire who borrows our work van because he’s too cheap to rent one and always brings it back completely empty. I just slap a few hundred extra on his bill and laugh about it, but if your friends are like this it would suck.

“Taking the train from London to Paris instead of flying cuts CO2 emissions per passenger by a staggering 90%.
