Not really. The G-wagen drives a lot better than a Wrangler and is actually very good offroad. I own a Jeep, so I’m not biased at all. The Landrover is completely useless as a normal car. It’s slow, leaky, noisy and a lot of work to drive. Pretty much any 4x4 you can buy now is better to drive on the road.

Isn’t this a very small part of Turkey that they crossed, like a few kilometres or so? It looks like the jet wasn’t in Turkisch airspace for more than a few seconds if that’s true. Not that I know anything about jets or airspace rules or anything.. Just wondering.

This is true. I did a pretty serious trail down some mountians to reach a lake in the French Alps. I have a slightly lifted Grand Cherokee with bigger tires, and had to take it really easy because a lot of the trail was washed out by massive rain and pretty steep.

My very first driving lesson was about as bad as it gets. It’s also a prelude to the rest of my automotive life.

To be fair, even my Jeep doesn’t survive a few years on the trail without some kind of repair or fix. A few days more like it.

No, but we get a little mad when it’s a hybrid and it’s a fast charging station on the highway. They have an IC engine, and can get home no matter what, I have to now wait for him to finish his lunch before I can charge to get home!

This is dumb, how can you even unplug someone’s car? There are electronic locks on both ends here in Amsterdam. But we have thousands of charging stations here too, so I never have to walk more that 2 minutes to the next one.

Here in the Netherlands they have an unmarked golf R, but they actually rebuild it to look like a regular golf. It's like the ultimate sleeper here as a Golf is probably the most common car on our road. It's mean, but you have to give them some credit for thinking of this.
