I have exactly the same Fiesta car as Hirvonen as a rental this week, the thing just sucks at gravelroads. It's faster than a French teenager in a 205gti on his local b-road! It's sharp, but the car is nearly on fire everytime I drive it. It needs a bigger engine, brakes and clutch.

I've owned both a Passat TDI DSG and a Polo GT Manual, and i've driven both those with the other transmision too. On the smaller quick petrol cars you really want the manual.

I guess it also depends how you use your car. I live in the Netherlands, so our country is not that big in the first place. But let's say you roadtrip with your car, I drive a Renault Zoe so it's quite similar to yours. For me, charging it for 15-20 minutes if i'm on a business trip is acceptable if it get's me home.…
