People still buy large gas sucking trucks then freak out about gas prices up from demand and will toss out the party in power that cannot control gas prices. It just happens over and over.

Nobody has ever thought that. Florida can always get worse. Always.

Most FL dealers charge upwards of $700-$900 for a "dealer fee" on top of the tax, DMV, and paperwork fees...they can eat this cost.

As someone who worked at a FL DMV, this is bad and I didn’t work as a clerk, but in IT. There is a reason dealers are required to do this as parts as transactions and within time periods. Bigger dealers do title transfers and such if they have the personal and proper equipment. Small dealers bring the deals to the DMV

That goes for every single state in the country.

Because Florida? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What’s the argument for this bill? Is this just a naked attempt by car dealers to have less liability, or is there actually some justification they’re spinning for it?

There are like 3 or 4 good counties in FL. The rest of the state is hot garbage.

Counterpoint: Hyundai sold more than triple what Dodge sold in the US alone in 2021.

A very Dodge thing to trumpet their “victory” after one statistical outlier year, but hey, what else do they have to brag about?

This entire platform from GM looks awkward. Every three row SUV and full size pickup rolling out of there is weirdly tall and I hate it because they're handsomely designed otherwise

So much better. Even retains plenty of clearance to drive over parking blocks at Kohls.

“There’s almost as much space between the top of the tire and the top of the fender as there is from the top of the tire to the bottom of the tire.”

I had three german cars before my Rav4. Best purchase I ever made.

This is the thing that we car lovers don’t understand about the simple ordinary folks - they don’t care about cars. Like, yes, the Versa is totally unlovable piece of, I don’t know, a thing, that is perfectly serviceable and reliable, and unlike their Explorers and Blazers, it was new, a new car. With working AC. And

Hardly. People that buy these are people that want the most expensive one to show off that they “can afford” the most expensive one.

Hey look, a giant SUV that drinks gas, makes a lot of noise and sells for more than my annual income.

Seriously, they are only 15 years or so late to this game.

*Buys a $110k SUV*

The only surprise is that it took them this long to do it.
