It’s nice to see my people becoming more self aware. That is one thing the internet was great for, to let the cats out of the bag...the government can’t brainwash it’s people anymore. Pakistan needs this help, too, and even worse.

India is like a turn-based strategy game where the government put 95% of their points into education and technology development, and neglected to develop all infrastructure for 50 years.

Sadly enough, this is what the NRA used to be. They were about education, awareness, safety, community.

I would, without owning a gun, be 100% in agreement with any gun group that made it their mission to be simply a gun safety organization. No politics, no us vs them bullshit. Just gun safety, which is something everyone needs to know.

The problem is that the NRA has become so militant and right winged, instead of focusing on sporting and safety, which is what it was originally founded on.

This. I was raised with guns, and I attended NRA sponsored events as a child that centered around firearms safety. At 18 I was a “card-carrying member.” In 2008 I revoked my membership and seeing the radicalization begin, and I’ve been a vocal opponent of the NRA ever since.
