YAY! This is why the Empire existed.
YAY! This is why the Empire existed.
While I think this is one of Torch’s dumbest ideas ever, even the regular Spitfire hardtop is easier to get in and out of than the soft top when it is up. The soft top mechnism is a good 3" lower than the top of the side windows when the top is up - I can’t get in and out of mine with the top up anymore. It is a…
Seb hasn’t nearly been the same driver since he drove off into the gravel at the German Grand Prix last year under the safety car while leading the race, and the championship.
He would not thrive at Red Bull if what Marko says is true, because Max is - and will surely remain - the #1 driver. That said, I’m sure RB would love to have Seb because even as he’s currently performing he’s better than Gasly.
I always felt like that was a perfectly good consolation prize. Holy shit, you mean I can be effectively alone in the universe for three quarters of an hour in every two hour period? Fuck and yes, please and thank you! Yeah, it’d be cool beyond comprehension to walk on a whole other world, but if you offered me the…
The Ferrari looked like the better car until that disastrous summer update that sunk their season, which happened to actually coincide with Seb’s downward slide actually. How the man responsible for that upgrade was later promoted to the team boss, I will never know... anyhow
I would highly recommend the movie/documentary “Apollo 11", which takes remastered footage from the two week period of the mission and cuts it in a way that is pretty riveting and pleasing (the director is the same guy who directed Apollo 13)
Ben Collins. Also a cool autobiography.
I think Marko cares because to date Vettel is the only driver that shows the world that he’s the genius he thinks he is. Ricciardo is a race winner but I don’t think he’ll be a champion and Max might be a champion if he learns that to finish 1st you must finish.
I honestly love Michael Collins, he’s been a hero of mine for years. I’m fascinated by the bravery it took to be the only human on the dark side of the moon, with no contact from anyone. While up there, he actually had to tell himself “ok, if things go wrong on the surface, I definitely won’t kill myself, though…
100% agree. Ferrari as a team made a few mistakes, but it was Seb’s mistakes that cost him the championship. They had a slightly faster car, allowing him to stand toe to toe with Hamilton for the title. Lewis didn’t flinch, Seb did.
Pretty much when there is was a crash with another car Max is was right there.
Every single astronaut who ever lived is a badass, but I don’t know that anyone can top John Young’s resume:
I met Buzz Aldrin at Oshkosh in 1992, and he was the most gracious man I’ve ever met, and totally humble. Just a dude.
Collins is a class act, I’ve always been impressed with his roll in the missions. random side note - i remember when i was 12 (30th anniversary year i would guess) I got one of those calls you used to get from actual telephone surveys and it was a single question: who was the third member of the Apollo 11 crew?
It doesn’t even look like the passenger seat is full width, lol.
You can’t not piss off the Corvette’s customer base. These people freaked the fuck out when they changed from circular to more squared-off taillights on the C4.
But also, don’t bank too much on a customer base that’s aging out/dying off. Or you’ll actually end up like Harely Davidson.
