You can’t not piss off the Corvette’s customer base. These people freaked the fuck out when they changed from circular to more squared-off taillights on the C4. 

Do you ever play the “guess what the Corvette driver looks like” when you see a Corvette? I do and it is always the same old white hair with a baseball cap. 

If your customer base is “70year old retired accountants in New Jersey”, then you’ve got bigger problems than where they’ll store their golf clubs. 

But also, don’t bank too much on a customer base that’s aging out/dying off. Or you’ll actually end up like Harely Davidson.

It seems like Musk is taking into account the fact that your Tesla can go out and make money for you while you’re not using it? Thus raising the intrinsic value of the object?

I kind of stopped caring about new super/hypercars because they all look largely interchangeable, are unusably fast, and never get tracked anyways meaning the HP figures are nothing more than bragging rights. This one makes me do a complete 180. What an absolutely stunning design.
