In the global automotive race, I believe GM, Ford and FCA will be losing out. In the domestic US market, they’ll hold on for some time due to pick-up trucks but that’s not saying much. VW Group, Toyota, PSA have the economies of scale now to keep pushing up their relative % of innovation, production, delivery and

IMHO they look cheesy and a clear indication that the person cannot afford the car!

The Harley brand starts with and ends with “hogs and heifers”. They screwed up with Buell and MV Agusta to diversify their brand and now they are going to build 250-500CC “mopeds”????? Small displacement or quite or electric, or sport bikes are the absolute other end of the spectrum for “hogs & heifers”.

Isle of Man TT is just incredible! Hats off to those who organize it and a bow to those who ride it. They are true giants of the riding world. I ride a bike and love riding a bike on the road and track, but not even in my wildest dreams do I think I could even attempt the TT.

That’s a lot to ask for of a country that put the orange dotard retard into the White House!

In the beginning Home Depot was mostly employee owned and the workers were very knowledgeable and cared about the company (a bunch of them became millionaires due to the rise in the stock price). Then the shareholders and management did what other public companies do, screw the workers, the customers, etc. to increase

Absolutely love that car, even if I crack open the piggy bank, sell my kidneys and the remaining part of my soul, I am guessing I’ll be $5.2M short!

There is so much right about this article! The US auto industry is in trouble and the manufacturers know it, but are too incompetent, spineless, or short sighted to care. And to boot the orange dotard retard is making it worse!

I think how you “feel” about a car will become more important as autonomous mobility is approaching. J.D. Power is just getting ahead of that curve in my opinion.

The original Celica was not FWD.

I am with Elon on this one.

Not only do cars have feelings, but some of them are possessed. I had a 1988 VW Scirocco 16V that was absolutely possessed! To the point that many many of my friends including mechanics were scared of her!

She can come over now in the Toyota behind her without the check engine light on? Hehe

What an absolute douche! I hope the cops throw the book at him. He almost took out totally innocent folks!

Hat off to Billy Monger! Truly inspirational. I can tell you that if I was in his position, I would have whittled away in self-pity! To quote Ricciardo “F***ing Lad!”

I think I was 3 or 4 when I figured out sound travels around corners! But at $2 Million a mile, I can see many people who would want it built. Especially in the US.

The airlines could care less about passenger comfort or service. The name of the game is to reduce costs, reduce costs and when that is done reduce costs again. United CEO Oscar Munoz is one of the more spineless CEO’s out there leading an airline that provides a horrendously bad service.

I have been going to Lime Rock for the past 25 years to race or watch races. There is this house on the way that has a Zimmer Quicksilver parked out front and every year I want to stop by to ask the owner what kind of car it is. I was just there this past Saturday and almost stopped, but did not want to disturb them

Kudos to Porsche for going for all these records (as part of the VW reimagining campaign I guess, think Pikes Peak VW and Bentley). When you see these attempts, you realize what world class companies do, as opposed to let’s say Corvette.

Wow, that brought up a ton of memories. Names that I hadn’t heard for a long time. Street drag racing was mostly an East Coast thing, up in the Bronx as you mention, Bayonne, Rt. 78, 287, etc. We used to race with modified Audi’s (total sleepers) and would hustle the locals. I stopped going when guns came out in the
