I mean, it costs less to film a feature length movie than a season’s worth of TV, and you get an immediate “This is how much this thing made.” vs trying to parse how many people paid for Disney+ ONLY for Mandalorian, or how many watched it because “We already have Disney+ so why not?”

I guess I should have said CAN become more transmissible but less potent. Either way, it’s all fantasy and movie magic, so they can have it do whatever they want. Whether it’s believable at all remains to be seen.

We’re all far more virally educated now and know that as a virus evolves into variants, it becomes more transmissible but less potent. Now that that stuff is more generally known by the populace, that could be incorporated.

So typical Alex Jones type advertisers?

Sure, but that doesn’t mean infected people can’t get pass it on before they starve to death. And after seeing how ‘take precautions’ worked with COVID, you really think everyone’s going to ‘believe’ that the infected are real and wouldn’t go poke one in the eye with a stick just to own the libs?

I didn’t. They OP did. I said ‘A movie ticket and a drink costs $25' and the rebuttal was ‘NOT WHERE I LIVE’, which, as we all know, means that’s the cost everywhere because a person on the internet said it. I came back with facts backing up my statement.

I literally said “ticket and a drink for $25" in my first post. I stand by that, and provided exact numbers. I’m not sure what you're upset about?

I love that the answer is never ‘That’s false, we didn’t do those things!’ and is always ‘So what if we did? You have no jurisdiction!’

AMC in Philly is $18.86 ($15.49 + $2 ‘convenience fee’ + tax) for a non-matinee ticket if I buy it right now online, and a regular sized drink is $7.41 ($6.99 + tax). So a drink and a ticket is $26.72. Add a small popcorn for $10.06 ($9.49 + tax) to the mix and it’s a grand total of $36.78 for a single ticket.

Not only that, but have any of these people SEEN the fucking outside recently? We get like 3 weeks in fall and 3 weeks in spring that aren’t freezing or sweltering. Everything needs you to be driven to it. Everything costs money. If you try and hang out at a park or something, some busybody calls the cops on you. If

“Neither is repeating words off a teleprompter, but here we are, Jayne.”

For real. Like, these results are fun, but they should NEVER be able to be tied to an individual by the company. I can see having an account tied to a person since they need to like, pay for it, but any/all results should be anonymized. If I send in my entire family’s samples (which I would never do, mind you), it

I don’t trust anything Google does to be in users’ best interests at this point, so I figure whatever they’re replacing cookies with is going to be something that can’t be ignored or deleted or blocked without severely crippling functionality.

That could help out Twitch’s lagging revenues. They could call it ‘Twatch”

It is still a thing, and whats even better, is that code is for ‘MoviesAnywhere’, which, when you link your MSFT, Google, Apple, Amazon, etc accounts, gives you the movie on ALL of those services.

That’s fine, well not fine but industry practice. However, there needs to be some way to ensure you get in contact with a human when you need to. A ‘call me’ function or a live chat function or SOMETHING. Had I simply been assured that someone was looking at my issue or working on it, no chargeback would be necessary.

I’m a Xennial myself. Born in ‘81. I remember all the GenX stuff, but also was formed by all the Millennial stuff.

It’s been since 2009 or so for me (STALKER Clear Skies release), but back then, there was no way to go through Steam. No phone number, nothing. My purchase of STALKER simply wouldn’t let me activate the game due to a DRM error on the publisher/developer’s part, but no one would answer me. DeepSilver, waited a week+

Or kids just won’t get into sports in the first place.

It really is. MLB was so far ahead of it’s time with MLBtv, but even still the local black outs are the worst. “Oh, if you’re in the broadcast area, you should just go to the game.” MFer, the broadcast area can be a 4 hour drive from the stadium. Not only that, but the Phillies, 6ers and Flyers are no longer on
