Shut up! I’m trying to wait for a 2nd gen Steam Deck to get JUST a little more power out of it, but people like you are making it hard! *giggity*

I think you overestimate the internet requirements for streaming. I can stream a game on my LTE phone at about 7mbit/sec. Stadia recommends for 720p 60fps gaming, you need 10Mbit but states it will work less optimally at 5Mbit, and for 4K HDR with DD5.1 @ 60fps, you need 35Mbit. Nearly a full DECADE ago, the average…
Yeah I bought my 5700XT not because I needed it (I had a 980Ti at the time and sold it for $200 afterwards), but because it was on sale for $289 + a $30 rebate @ MicroCenter in March or April of 2020 for a net output of $59+tax. I got in the car immediately and went to buy one cuz that’s a smokin’ deal. You can barely…
Except the MSRP’s have all jumped by over 50% since the pandemic began. The Radeon 5700 XT launched @ $399. The Radeon 6750 XT is $549. The 1070 was $379 when it launched. The 3070 was $499 and couldn’t even be bought for the most part for less than $800. nVidia (and to a lesser extent AMD) saw what people were…
I was editorializing. I didn’t read the book.
I mean, they fired Jenny Slate for saying ‘fuck’ on air one time. It’s not far fetched that ‘you slipped up, so we can’t take that chance again.’ It’s not like there aren’t people lined up for days that would host SNL, so why take the chance?
I mean, you can learn a lot about how to not be an asshole from watching an asshole be an asshole. ‘They did this and it was shitty, so I won’t do that.’
It’s not the training, its the lack of teeth to enforce following the training and outlined procedures. They all know what they’re SUPPOSED to do, but that’s hard and requires quick, higher level thinking. If a 5 year old knows he’s supposed to eat all his vegetables before he can have desert, but the parents give him…
Yeah, for the TRAINED police officers that ostensibly do this for a living, “I was nervous and scared they’d hurt me” is an acceptable excuse. For the UNTRAINED citizen that only has a few interactions with a cop with a gun in their life, “I was nervous and scared they’d hurt me” is justification for, at a minimum,…
So it took me a while to figure this out. You can still fast travel from underground to the surface. Using an Xbox controller, when you’re on the map, hit the right thumbstick and it’ll switch to the surface map, and you can select your site of grace then.
I agree with you. I have a lot of hours into the game, but the fact that there’s no quest journal or the like is frustrating sometimes. Like, I don’t need a glowing waypoint marker to the next place specifically, but so many times its “Hey would you help me, brave tarnished?” and there’s no clear objective. It’s all…
Especially us older folks with kids/jobs/commitments. I can’t dedicate any regular amount of time to gaming, and it seems like if you don’t spend LOTS of time getting good at most games now, you get left behind in terms of multiplayer.
I didn’t even know about Starfield until about a month ago maybe. Looks interesting... from what you can glean from the little actual info about the game they’ve shared. There’s lots of cool lookin space type stuff, but very little indication of how it plays, or even what type of game it is. Unless, of course, I…
Not only that, but it had TV out and you could plug a controller into it too. It was a Switch before the Switch. Much like the Sega Nomad.
Because even if it gets 100000 stars, it’s still underrated.
Underrated comment.
It absolutely has basis. The work is completely transformed. The textures are made from scratch, the models are (presumably) made from scratch. There is no N64 Metroid game to take this from. On top of that, it doesn’t ‘exist’ in the public sphere any more than a video. The second argument, if it were to be released,…
I mean, technically there was a much larger market, but only the crypto miners actually were able to get ahold of the boards because they were willing to pay the inflated prices knowing that they could make their money back.
No, they sell the design AND the chip to 3rd party board vendors. They make all the chips (well, they have TSMC make them) themselves.
The exception SHOULD be that the employer was negligent, and in this case, they were. They hired an unqualified person. They do multiple interviews, do reference checks, run people’s credit and do criminal background checks for a reason, to make sure that they’re qualified. If they hired a guy for a position to drive…
