You’re forgetting that this thing is powered. The etron can tow 1800kg of unpowered weight, but if this thing even provides a small boost, that ‘weight’ significantly changes in terms of what the etron is really towing.

They could fit 2kw of solar on the roof of this thing. That would keep it charged (assuming it’s sunny) if you parked for 3 hours, or VASTLY extend the range if it’s sunny while you’re towing it. You could even put a 250-400w wind horizontal turbine tube on either side and take advantage of those 60-80mph winds while

Another thing is BRAKES. Everyone seems to talk about the power for towing, but not much about stopping it once it’s moving. A while back, when I was looking at tow vehicles for one of my race cars, I was looking at Chevy Trailblazers. The I6 and the V8 had the same towing capacity. It’s because the brakes were the

I mean, if he had a list of people he was going to share his wealth with, he doesn’t sound like a greedy prick. She just worked her way off that list and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

Right? Like... you can have a talk about and be like ‘Man, if you wanna write screenplays, that’s all well and good, but that’s not the assignment here. You gotta do the work that you’re given. You can write all the screenplays you want on your own time, or after you finish the work you need to do for the class.’

I think if they could get it to 75-100 miles on electric, it’d be a HUGE boon. The Mini Countryman plug in hybrid with a 150hp 3 cylinder turbo, gets .... 12miles on battery, and if you run it in full hybrid, it gets 31mpg. My Clubman JCW (the same platform and similar MPG) gets 31mpg average with a 300hp 2.0L 4

I think most people see a car payment as a recurring subscription or utility bill. It’s just the cost of having a car. That’s why the moment they get one loan paid off (or more realistically, before that), the go trade it in on a new car. They’re not worried about being underwater because they aren’t trying to make

The problem is that the consumer is already taxed. An F150 starts at 30K for a base model stripper, and anything that people want is $45K, whilst getting 21mpg. If they opt for the smaller Maverick, it’s $15K+ cheaper, and the base engine gets 40mpg city and still big enough to fit adults in the back seat.

But we can

Erie is a 7ish hour drive from where we are, more if you’re towing a boat. It’s about 3+ hours to the Delaware or Jersey shore towing. I GUESS you could haul them out to around Harrisburg and stick em in the Susquehanna? Maybe? The closest area to us to really use anything is Blue Marsh Lake, which is not big or deep.

But I’m sure he knew how to square dance and that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. Thanks, American public education!

Not knowing things is the worst. Like, if you had no idea, you might think that’s ‘just the way things work.’ When my wife and I bought our house, we got a quote from Progressive for our home owners insurance since I used them for car insurance. It was $3600 a year. I went ‘Oh, OK. I guess that’s fine.’ Only after 2

Boats must be addictive. I have two different friends that don’t know each other, but they each bought a cheap boat... and 3 years later they’re like, 3 boats in and have big motors built for them. We live in PA. There’s like... one small lake to take them to in a 3 hours driving radius.

Yeah but you’d still be doing it days later burping and refilling, and that’s not even a guarantee that you’ve flushed all the air out.

I had a friend (well, acquaintance, I didn’t really like her all that much) that had a 2004 Celica. Mid model, not a GT-S. She was paying $700 a month on it because she had 3 rolled over negative equity loans into it. On top of that, interest was something like 8.5% on 5 years. She ended up paying almost $32,000 for

I dunno, I was a hardcore VW guy for decades. I loved VWs. I hated VW.

Not insignificant, no. But not impossible, either. What was their market share 8.5 years ago?

I think 2030 is the right number. Plenty of marques have said they are going to be all electric before 2030. I have to imagine that all of the domestic cars and CUVs will be electric by then, as well as a good chunk of the full size pickups.

Honestly, it’s going to be more than half before then just from the market. Companies like Mini (not that they are high volume) have said they are planning to be all electric before 2030. GM and Ford may not be fully electric, but I’m sure most of the cars will be, and probably a good chunk of the trucks by 2030.

It’s certainly a LOT better than prison, but maybe getting out of prison with a lifelong felony is still a shit show. I know it was/is for me. I’m fortunate enough to have IT skills and never been unemployed in my life and make quite a bit of money, but I’m also ‘stuck’ in jobs sometimes because it’s not quite so easy

Oh gosh, I hope a real union at a big player gets established. That would be fabulous.
