I thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm concerned about the timeslot. I may never have gotten into New Girl without Brooklyn 9-9, and I don't think there's a huge overlap between New Girl's fans and what will become The Mick's fanbase. But that bird-on-bird action was well-done.
