Wouldn’t have been any different. I read an article where they compared Superbikes and MotoGP bikes and adjusted for the different tires used and the MotoGP bikes were only 0.6-1 sec faster. The article was from 2012, so I don’t know what the difference would be today, but I highly doubt it would be much different.

I agree, the DOT needs to get their shit together. I've driven a BMW 3 series and Mercedes C-Class in Europe and the headlights are HUGELY better than the North American spec cars. The DOT is preventing AUDI, BMW, Mercedes etc... from utilizing the best tech they have and have to offer compromised solutions for North

The most demanding car I've driven is a Porsche Turbo 930 Flachbau. Mainly because you were always driving on a knife's edge and at any given time were seconds away from going backwards into a tree

It probably has to do with emissions. For example, AMG's with the M156 engine in North America produce less power than the ROW (Rest of the World). The air boxes in my car had smaller MAF inlets and on top of the air filter there is a secondary charcoal filter for carbon absorption. I installed ROW air boxes and got a

The ACR shines around short tight tracks because of the huge amount of downforce it creates. They should take the ACR to tracks where where F1, WEC, and Super Formula cars race and compare it to the 918, P1, and LaFerrari..o wait.. they won’t, because it would get annihilated. Or the engineers should strap a huge

Watch this. I wonder how much faster a 918 could go if you strapped a big ass wing, canards, and a splitter to it...

I used to own a silver over black E46 M3 with the competition package. I bought it from my local BMW dealer and it only had 10,000km on the dial. It was (for the most part) a fantastic car, it had all of the qualities a good drivers car should have. It was balanced, had a great rev happy engine, slick 6 speed

Is this a serious question? Mercedes have been making the Viano for years. Check out the latest one, it’s actually really nice. There are tons of options for customization, many of them are turned into sort of a ‘Maybach van’. There are a ton of luxury vans running around Japan too.

I've got a C63 507 sedan, which was only produced for about 5 months in 2013. I don't know the total production number, but I do know there are only 15-20 in Canada. I'm hoping the sedan will prove to be a classic as the coupe was produced for about a year and a half. Time will tell I suppose.

On the Track. My old man used to compete in the BTCC and Porsche Cup in the late 60's-80's and SCCA in the 90's, so I’ve spent a lot of time at the track. We just bought a membership to Area 27 in Oliver, BC and you get a minimum of 15 days a month, so I’ll be out there a lot. Fortunately my dad has taught me a few

the 60's-80's and SCCA 80's-90

Clearly you haven't driven many good turbo cars. I've driven the AMG GT-S and the new Carrera S and you can hardly tell that they are turbocharged, they're incredibly engaging! Speed isn't related to skill? Maybe in a straight line, but it takes a lot of skill to drive a performance vehicle at the limit around a

Great review Robb! Was there any mention of production numbers or production span? I'm really considering buying one of these as it's the first BMW that I've liked since the E46 M3.

The M2 is the first BMW I've liked since the E46 M3. I might have to trade in the 63 for one of these!

It's way better in person. Unfortunately the noise isn't transmitted very well through TV's. I was sitting front row at the top of Eau Rouge and there was no way in hell I could have a 'speaking voice' conversation. Sure, they don't scream like the V8's and V10's, but they're still pretty loud and the engines are

The exterior looks like a rip-off of an S-Class and the interior is the result of an S-Class getting it on with an A8.

Wow, I had no idea automakers practise this. I work at the Mercedes-Benz HQ in the UK and there are no such restrictions. It's first come, first serve (except for directors) and it's not uncommon to see BMW's, Audi's, Porsche's, Aston Martin's, Lamborghini's, and Ferrari's in the parking lot.

To be fair, that accident wasn't Mercedes fault. They should have stayed in motorsports after 1955. Mercedes had been involved in motorsports since 1894, I bet Mercedes would have been (by a landslide) the most successful brand in motorsport history. At least they're back to their dominating ways today.

Can’t believe it took Nissan so long to figure out this concept would never work. What a waste of resources. They should've gone with a more conventional design. Sure, it wouldn't have been unique, but at least there would be another manufacture competing in LMP1. Now there will only be six LMP1 cars on the grid next
