LMAO! I told my daughter... “they published the article and a pic with the Barney Van...someone is going to notice them shoes on it..... there’s Dodge dudes like I’m a Saturn dude. We see this ish!” We laughed and then we got home and saw your comment. We were dying because I nailed it. It was a solid 3.0 and I

Thank you!

Thanks!

Context is super important! I’m glad you took the time to get the why, before asking why. :) Thanks for the respect.

Precisely!! There’s something down-to-Earth about modding up whatever you can afford.

I did shave them in. All I knew is that I wanted to change them and until I find my components, I figured I would just “delete” them.

Nice attention to the details. It was a bright 5730 LED strip for pickups. They have the most light and function for the buck on ebay. They come with blinker, stop, tail, and white reverse leds. They are wayyyy brighter than my legal vw bus lights.

The 1/8" lexan for the 4 doors and rear windscreen was about $90 and I had a little leftover.

So you can confirm that it is real. hahahaha!

Because of the new angle that the windows have to lay at, I can only have them on or off. They are also made of lexan. I’m currently outgassing mine right now, this way I can install some tint on them and NOT have them bubble up. Like Stef mentions, because RatRod/racecar life.

Score!

I like to think it was a decent investment in “spare” time. Like mentioned below, “the dollar to memory ratio” is in astronomical territory for me. Family, culture, and entertainment? I’m in!

The curb feeler is a long 1/8" strip of metal wound like it was wrapped around a straw. At one end is a pressed on metal cap and the other end has the mounting tab. When the metal cap, or in my case the dice, physically touches the curb, the sound is laughably loud. Windows down or up, it is loud enough to know that

That first paragraph is great. lol

Thanks!  Stef did a great job telling the story. I’m glad it is reaching the people I hoped it would.
