It does have two airbags though.

I have no doubt the present owner bought it to flip. Some clueless granny probably sold it to him for a grand. At this point for one of these, mechanicals would be FAR easier to sort than cosmetics. 

I mean, if you want a manual van, Duncan Imports can supply you with some weird 4wd Toyota HiAce or Nissan Homy for under $20k.

I don’t know, compared to today’s overwrought designs, it’s a no-bullshit breath of fresh air. Mouse fur gray interior would’ve killed it, but it’s even got the lovely deep red interior with no wear or fading. About 20 minutes detailing the engine bay would make it look as new. The only other thing I’d want to see is…

Mine wasn’t a turbo, but was way more fun to drive than it had any right to be. Got it cheap, but in the end the endless unsolvable electrical problems weren’t worth the trouble. Was a sad day I sold it at auction. When you get above 40 cars owned you learn when to give up.
