Actually the flex makes it easier. You get a few inches to pull the slack out of the bar and realize the full weight when it breaks free from the ground. Some people claim they can pull about 50lbs more with a deadlift bar. Thicker bars are tougher to grip as well.

I agree with everything you said except that a plane has to have a vertical tail surface. Yaw looks like it could be easily corrected by thrust control on the banks of motors. Other planes have been built without vertical control surfaces as well

I’ve seen many electric standing wheelchairs but never a manual one that could be moved while standing. The pricing for this manual one would need to come down substantially more than $6-8k since you can start getting

The coolest portable keyboard I’ve had was the Targus Stowaway keyboard for my Handspring Visor. It folded up to be about the same size as the visor and the keys felt like those on a high end laptop. I’m really surprised that design hasn’t been implemented today in a bluetooth keyboard.
