Not a big fan of silky sheets here, but my big pandemic splurge was high-end linen sheets and I LOVE THEM. For me, they are the perfect feel. They are somehow both warm and cool, and the texture feels heavenly to me. 

Seems like this is an argument FOR talking to the neighbors - I’d definitely want to know before I moved next door to someone like that!

What does this mean? “....ask the neighbors very pointed questions about the area and their experience living there..” I would think that asking the neighbors about the area (safety, noise, problem neighbors, etc) would be okay, but I feel like something is being implied here that I’m not getting.

Came here to say the same. Even pressure-canning instructions say to add some citric acid. It’s best to get canning recipes from the USDA where they heavily test them for safety.

Yeah, this is what we do. Wash the sheets every week or two, but change the pillowcases pretty regularly (usually every couple of days, as an also oily-haired person).
