I like the Loki (which is the same twist in the book) and Hel thing, because that came to my mind as well but I thought “that would be wild, so probably not” but it turns out- probably yes. Or at least Laura likely is a child of Loki, like Shadow is a child of Odin.

I think the song means that Laura is going to be revealed as Hel, goddess of the underworld. Plausible fan theory is that Mr. World=Loki, and Hel is Loki’s daughter. It makes sense with her hearing the song from her “father’s” room (i.e. it was really Mr. World in there) combined with Mr. World humming the same song

what does it mean that Mr. World (aka you know who) is whistling the tune Laura heard in purgatory?

And it feels like there’s even less Gods now on both sides.

So, uh, what does it mean that Mr. World (aka you know who) is whistling the tune Laura heard in purgatory?

It won’t. And that’s fine.

As someone who used to care a lot about the lore, these aren't bad ideas for spin offs.  But I just have no interest anymore after that last season, I'm surprised HBO is this confident frankly.

I think people (on, yes, both sides) just assume Trey/Matt are way more political than they actually are. I really don’t think Trey/Matt view everything, or even much at all, through the lens of politics. They are such quintessential Gen Xers who just kind of like making fun of everything. I think people think that

I find it funny that the same people who praise South ParK because it “criticizes everyone” throw hissy fits whenever someone dares to criticize South Park’s politics.

It was a talking point for like two days 7 months ago, easy there bud.

I think it’s probably the combination of the DNA and the weed. Otherwise she would have gotten a mustache long ago.

Exactly - this was the most clueless part of this review.

There’s something about SP and Quentin Tarantino that brings out the basement boys on this site.

I’d say a B+ is pretty gracious. Of course, this being South Park, probably the most poignant take on current events ever produced, expectations are high and a “bad” episode is still better than anything else on television.

Thank you!  Came here to say the same thing.

Sounds like South Park’s usual shit.  The show ultimately is a Conservative/Republican show by way of its “everything sucks equally” attitude.  That attitude ultimately favors the side with the biggest guns -- literal and metaphoric.

Pangolin, “random”?? You do know it was actually thought to be a pangolin rather than a bat, right? They didn’t just make that up; it wasn’t random at all.

That’s right, Randy had sex with a bat, but that’s not what created COVID-19. Oh no, what created COVID-19 had to do with Randy having sex with an animal that 2020 couldn’t even have predicted. I was more surprised at the random animal choice...

Maybe I’ve missed something, but why does Sharon having a moustache mean she smokes weed? Couldn’t she just have gotten the DNA by having sex with Randy?
