You were fucked from the start. The best way to do a 12-hour driving day with small kids is to start at, or shortly after their bedtime. At a minimum, start at some ridiculous time like 3am, so there’s a chance they’ll sleep in the dark.

The wife and i will often do this. Leave at 3 am after 4-5 hours sleep. Kids sleep the first part of the trip because it’s still dark and theyre still tired.
The lie that the kids will “wear themselves out” gets propagated all too frequently. Will they run like maniacs for hours? Sure. Will that make them tired? Nope.
all ya’ll are doing it wrong. my dad would make us drive CT > NC in one go, wake up at 4am, 12 hours in the car. occasional rest stops, packed food. i don’t think it would have occurred to us once to refuse the pre-packed lunch.
Totally disagree. I want to get the majority of the drive done on day 1 then have a manageable drive the next day to at least try to maximize that day of “vacation.”
People that make those type of statements seldom see that they, themselves, are the very evil they claim to despise.
A quote? it was an example of a saying that has been said to all children for the last 50 years.
If I tune in to watch a race, they could be shaved lemurs and I’m still going to ignore seeing them for 10 seconds so I can watch the race.
Based on the original post, it seemed that the colleague was saying that women’s brains are wired differently, so they can’t do technical jobs. That’s being an asshat. If Dirt Addiction was misunderstanding what the colleague meant, and they actually meant that women weren’t interested in the jobs, then the colleague…
Totally agree - where’s the apology from the pompous asshole who started it? And where’s the media focus on that?
The issue here is that he failed and someone called him out on it.
See thats where I am lost in understanding. I dont understand having to reach out to make my sport more diverse.
“But I was waiting for the first “not all men” comment of the day. Cheers.” - YOU
Reality:
And how does one become “the most famous”? Your comment presents a paradox...
The correct way to interpret that statistic is that 15% of married couples make enough money that the wife doesn’t care what the husband is buying.
With having all the same access to these activities (that you USA) and most equipment for sports or jobs can be made for women and/or men, the only thing in my mind that limits what a gender, race, or class of citizen from entering a segment is themselves and themselves only. Haters gonna hate. Perhaps the best method…
Because clearly taking away jobs women freely did is a great way of fixing things...just make them unemployed instead, perfect.
What is there to say? I can understand dumbass. I just try not to speak it.
An Elon Musk post. Good! You guys never talk about him.
