GM has also beaten Ford in combined car sales too, but combining sales doesn’t give any information on individual models, which each having their own price points and profit margins.

How can they be greedy if they’re unprofitable? Just trying to make a profit, any profit at all isn’t greedy, otherwise they’re offering their services at under cost.  How does offering a product at less than cost make them greedy?

YMMV. I think drivers are mainly upset because they no longer see those huge fares, but they don’t bother to look at their other fares to see how they compare.
