I make 100K a year, so I do ok, but there are not full time jobs for everyone willing to work.

At least with Uber they can stagger work hours to see their kids and family.

So you’re saying we don’t produce things, and the manufacturing sector isn’t growing?

It’s also getting more efficient and producing much more per person. Just because other sectors of the economy were created or have grown doesn’t mean manufacturing is non-existent.

And the company that is somewhere else just put up their prices because they know that products from their competition (China) cost more in the USA.

Just because other sectors of the economy have grown doesn’t mean manufacturing has declined and is disappearing. It’s also getting more efficient and doesn’t require as much labor to produce the same or more output. It also shows that it is increasing and “coming back”.

What Toyota and Honda didn’t expect was that the consumer demand for EVs could upend the market without policy help.

40% might not be a wild improvement in fuel economy, but I have to wonder what models have improved more in the past 20 years.

Which may costs as much or more because it’s likely that supplier depends on parts from China too.

Fuel Cells are DOA. They have no future in cars with current technology.

We don’t produce things. America doesn’t make stuff anymore. The economy shifted 3o years ago and it’s not coming back.

But because the costs from China are way up, Polaris needs to cut costs elsewhere. Which means moving those American jobs down south, because Polaris itself refuses to absorb any more costs.

Kinda like when he listened to the “just buy a honda” consensus.

The Liberty makes the most sense for you, seeing as it’s a 3rd gen Cherokee.  You already have a 1st and 2nd gen, make your collection more complete.

It has to last until it doesn’t, when you’re in this price range, there’s no set time.  Is it repairable, is it rusted too bad, etc.?  Time to shop again.  The good thing is, it’ll usually be a few years before it gets to the time to shop point again.

Literally all of his vehicles are RWD, including his winter beater...

You’re list is similar to mine, except mine were spread out over 3 Dodges and over 250k miles. My list doesn’t include liftgate cylinders, but it does have plugs/wires/distributor for 2 of them, rotors, and air filters, and a transmission for my truck (my fault, dented the pan, ran it low on fluid regularly without

Yes, and? It gets them nothing if they can’t spend it.

That’s where they’ll see they actually are independent contractors, as the company wouldn’t have to lift a finger to have them still charged as other people sign up on their pocket computers.

And don’t do drugs.  That’s apparently the biggest hurdle to hiring my company is having.  Almost everyone not already working fails the drug screening and we can’t hire them.  Now that I typed that out, maybe that’s why these people are “forced” to take these “jobs” and can’t get actual W2 work.
