Apparently not. Our economy is healthy by most metrics but wages have been flat for decades, and in some cases went down when adjusted for inflation. 

A good economy does that.  Do you really think unions would cause wages to outpace inflation?  No, as soon as people start earning more money, inflation goes up and they’re still flat.
