True that MMA looks more dangerous. In terms of the long-term effects, we really don't have any data since the sport is so new.

Still can't say that I understand why MMA has become more popular than boxing. Is it just the newness? Because, boxing is clearly the more interesting combat sport in terms of the actual action.
