I don’t like it when fans “demand” that some celebrity say something or stand up for their causes. It’s creepy and weird. They don’t owe you that. Also, once you “demand” it, then it becomes performative, even if it’s how they truly feel. 

I think people forget that not everyone has the same level of engagement with social media or the news and that many people’s first response to hearing distressing information about a friend or former coworker may not be to address it in a public forum.

It’s pretty obvious that such videos/thumbnails are formulated primarily to draw the attention of children. I’m 31 years old so I’m not remotely interested in the wacky hijinx that kids more than 10 years my junior are getting up to.

At this point it surprises me that it hasn’t evolved, not even a little bit. I still remember when Pokemon had a tie-in with Burger King where they had collectible shiny Pokeballs with a “gold plated” card inside. I think mine is still sitting in some box rotting away in my parents basement.

Given the guy who was meant to be leading Anthem 2.0 was shifted to Dragon Age 4 after the management departures late last year and there’s been no real update for the game since just shy of a whole year ago I think they’ve clearly made their minds up already even if it hasn’t been formalised.
