He should’ve turned off the wipers..
He should have lifted, downshifted, tapped the brakes to get the car to rotate and powered thru. And not just a little power, everything that car has left banging against the limiter. So it could claw it’s way sideways back down into the corner.
when I was a kid my country broadcasted executions on tv. I remember my grandpa telling me it was ok because they were bad people who would never change.
I live in a country riddled with horrible criminals.
Like I said, it’s a difficult issue. I’d like to see prison time taken more seriously. Currently it’s almost a holiday - the prisoners get ‘paid’ for work, they have TV, exercise, internet access. You don’t have to dehumanise and torture someone to make prison a bad place - basic food - nutritious but not necessarily…
Overpopulated with those who cannot pay their way out, revolving doors for those who can. Pretty common around nations riddled with corruption.
Excellently prepared and referenced post.
Those two stupid women (who were the victims of those executed)! They were white! Statistically, they deserved to die, and for their murderers to go free.
I agree with you. I’m ready for the threshold for capital punishment to be lowered, not raised, to include rape; violence against women, children, the elderly and animals; poaching; and so on.

Correction: everybody behind has to slow down because of whomever it is behind this guy that overreacts and brakes when they don’t need to. A gap is a gap, and people who use all of the available road - as in a proper zipper merge - help the greater good by maintaining the flow and keeping these backups short.
The guy…
I don’t think of the writers as a monolith at all. It’s actually sort of a bug bear for me that people are like LAST WEEK JEZEBEL SAID X, because there are a bunch of different people with different views and that is as it should be. Some are good, and smart, some are ok, some have talents that are humour some have…
You’re absolutely correct. Not sure why Rich felt the need to attack the people who just had an award taken from them just because they made a movie he didn’t like
I’m just saying, if Rich is spoiling to go after someone for privilege, Kimmel’s comment was the one to tee up.
Can you imagine if the opposite had happened? If Moonlight had appeared to win at first, and then all the actors/producers/director of a film about gay black men had to leave the stage to make way for the crew of a film about dancing white people? We would have 300 think pieces about how wrong it was by morning, each…
You know they’re just annoyed. Rich and many of the other writers here wanted La La Land to win, they’ve got a whole backlog of snarky, whiny, victimised articles ALREADY WRITTEN about how it was the worst film and they stole it from the good honest Black movie and how the white devil is destroying Hollywood, and now…
basically yelling into the microphone as if he was elected to do the job
Seriously. This whole article is feigned outrage. I loved that this happened and that Moonlight won, but the La La Land folks handled it well and I wouldn’t wish how they must’ve felt in that moment on anyone. The writer of this article is a hack but that’s what it takes to pay the bills these days.
Also, it wasn’t Horowitz’s job to straighten that shit out! But the producers and Kimmel and the accountants and the announcers all seemed to get a collective fit of the vapors and time was ticking so Horowitz stepped up and got shit done. This is a good character trait. We want these sorts of people around when…
In a similar but unrelated note, I now bump into men who walk right into my path instead of moving to the side as we pass on narrow sidewalks.
