It depends on the type of road-tripper you are. If you’re the “lets just get to where we are going in the absolute minimum amount of time” type, I recommend a cooler with items that are pre-cooked but frozen. These are great because while you’re driving you can throw an item on the dash and let it warm up until its

China, the world’s biggest auto market”

I love the idea of this! But the looks can take a hike-

TFL does a video where they talk about the tires before they did this comparison. The Jeep in this video also has aftermarket AT and an aftermarket lift modification.

KO2s fit nicely on the OEM VW rim and you can run 265/65 without an issue.

I had a 2004 Touareg v8 I used specifically for location scouting. The thing was an absolute beast off road. I never once got stuck in any situation- mountain trails, rocky trails, muddy trails, sand.....it handled everything I had to cover. The V8 gave it all the power I needed or wanted on and off road. With Ac

I somehow actually feel safer with the idea of Mustangs having a hands free mode:

David.... why don’t you get a car canopy set up with the sides and a front flap with a zipper. Thats pretty much a “building” that is enclosed...

One other thing this situation has brought to the forefront is the fact that NASCAR fans lack anything beyond a 6th grade education... or a basic understanding of historical context....

Surprisingly I have done less work on my (ml55 AMG) car this month. But what I did do was - Transmission filter change (including new gasket), added an OEM battery box, “fixed” the hood latch, replaced the torsion bar bushings, and gave it a nice little quick wash, spray ceramic wax, and leather conditioned the seats.

I’m in LA and would be happy to help you out. Full Disclosure- I know nothing about the Nissan motor but I’m a good googler, shower daily, a god holder of stuff, and can survive off of lattes!

Everything about this comment is accurate. The only drawback is the items you suspect are stolen that you’ve purchased come with a lot of potential bad luck.

As a scholar of all things sub-par from the 80s sci-fi cinema world I can give you some insights here.

I do like the Tiguan. I’ve not looked at it closer because the only experience I’d had with one was the day my friend drove one off the lot, new, the door handle ripped off when I went to get in it.

Buttons are better. On a touch screen you have to look at what you are doing. At least with “OK Boomer” buttons you have a touch-sense feel for what you’re doing with no need to remove your eyes from the road. It’s like braille for drivers.

I’m always seeing Montero’s in the LA Area LKQ’s. Given the rarity of some of the parts (according to the FB groups) I’m thinking of just starting a collection for resale.

I saw a Sterling today in LA. Dude was under the hood working on something.

No, in the film days you would have to know your shots BEFORE you wasted rolls and rolls of film. You’d have to plan out and test various films to know what traits each one had. Some were more contrasty, some had more grain, some shifted yellow in sunlight, some shifted blue. etc etc.

Absolutely. Herb Ritts, Ansel, Avedon, all spent hours in the dark room. making custom batches of developers for film processing, doing exposure tests on various papers to see which ones held the best tone and contrast, testing various films to know reciprocity, real ISO/ASA ratings, grain size, and spending hours

I highly recommend you sit in on a high level commercial car shoot. 13 hours, 10-15 different light set ups, moving and placing the car (since you can’t always move the camera when shooting multiple plates in case you need to re-do a shot) , detailing the car between every new shot, and don’t forget the client is
